Day 51

How Do You Prioritize Your Roles and Goals?

Praying for Purpose for Women

Katie Brazelton

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track

Proverbs 3:5-6 MSG

As I’m typing this post, I’m listening to Jonathan Nelson sing “I Believe”. The word say “Jehovah you, I trust, in you Oh Lord” we trust our cell phones and computers to keep us on track for our days, but do we trust God to keep us on track? Are you including God in your daily plan and your to do list? I know sometimes I forget to ask Him what to do and where to go but it’s important that we make this a habit of including Him in all of our plans even our day to day tasks and activities.  It may seem simple or a little crazy but it’s needed and purposeful to do this.

When I write out my to do list for the week Sunday night, I sometimes say Lord I’m going to have a busy day, I need to prioritize this out for my good and most importantly yours.  If we plan our days out on our own and not included God we take up time that we should give him. Are you prioritizing your day to include God?

God is my first focus before I hit social media and emails, there are times I slip and have to say Lord forgive me and thankfully he does just that. It’s important to spend time with God before we plan anything else in our day. It’s important we keep him in our circle of influence daily.

What tools do you use to set your goals and prioritize your day? Is a bible and prayer journal a part of those tools?

Journal Entry:

  • How do you prioritize your day?
  • Is God apart of your priority plan?
  • Meditate on Proverbs 3:5-6
