Day 52

In What Circumstance Has God Been Faithful to You?

Praying for Purpose for Women

Katie Brazelton

December 2013, I left my part-time job early not feeling well.  I all but ran through the doors of Macy’s fighting tears all the way to my car.  As soon as I opened the doors the floodgates opened, tears and some of my greatest fears came pouring out of me.  I gathered myself enough to call my mom and let her know I left work early, and called the doctor’s office.  The return call from the calling service felt like hours but it was only maybe 15 minutes or so.  As I drove out of Shortpump Towne Center, I cried out to God “You can’t take this one, I’m tired of losing and I can’t take another loss” I’m sure you are trying to figure out what loss had to do with me not feeling well. I was only about 12 weeks pregnant at the time and began to have symptoms similar to what I had when I miscarried previously.  My loss, wasn’t a loss, it was a blessing a few months later.

When has God showing you his faithfulness to you?

That night December, I wasn’t sure if I was coming or going, I went to the doctor the next day and he assured me everything was okay but I did have to quit my part-time job and take it easy.  God showed me in my moment of fear and frustration, I’m still here.  I cried. I cried like a baby after getting a shot. And just like a terrible storm, calm came over me after I prayed in fear.

If you are like me, scared of fear or losing, God has you. I promise you, He has you and he shows His faithfulness every single day of our lives.  He’s faithful to stand by our side during tough times, good times and amazing times.  He allows us to go through some things in order for us to grow.
